Holistic Out-of-School Time Enrichment at Jordan Downs Center
Including our Re-Entry Program
We developed our Out of School Time Enrichment Program to address the needs and interests of the youth in Jordan Downs. This holistic program recognizes that all aspects of a person—physical, mental, and emotional well-being—are interconnected. We believe that every young person is capable of achieving great things when provided with the right support.
Our goal is to enhance the overall well-being of everyone who enters our doors, particularly justice-involved individuals aged 14-24, who often face unique challenges with re-entry and pursuing their dreams. We are here to support you.
Justice-involved youth encounter systemic barriers that hinder their access to education, employment, and overall well-being. These challenges often stem from histories of trauma, exposure to violence, discrimination, and educational instability, which can lead to a cycle of offending and re-offending.
To help break this cycle, our Out of School Time Enrichment Program offers structured activities during free time, allowing students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and engage in creative pursuits within a supportive environment. By providing positive alternatives, the program aims to reduce the risk of gang involvement and other criminal activities, creating a safe space for personal growth and community engagement.
